Description
Son of the late T. M. Jacob former Minister (in the UDF Ministries headed by the late K. Karunakaran, Shri. A.K. Antony and Shri Oomman Chandy) who represented Piravom Constituency in the V, VIII, IX, X, XI and XIII Kerala Legislative Assembly (till 30th October, 2011) and Kothamangalam Assembly Constituency in the VI & VII KLAs.

Entered Politics while a student, through KSC; was President of the KSC (Jacob), Mar Ivanios College Unit, during 1996-97; and Magazine Editor of the College Magazine during the same period when the Mar Ivanios College Magazine was selected for the Best College Magazine Award of the Year 1996-97 introduced by Manorama and for the Bank Employees Federation Award; was State General Secretary of Youth Front (Jacob) during 2001-2004 and State President of Youth Front (Jacob) from 2004; Member of the High Power Committee of Kerala Congress (Jacob)
Wife : Anila Mary Geevarghese, English lecturer in B.P.C. College, Piravom.
Children : a son and a daughter
Elected to the XIII KLA from Piravom Assembly Constituency, in the bye-election held on 17th March, 2012 following the demise of T.M. Jacob
