The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides funded support and
services to eligible people with disabilities to help them achieve their goals. During the planning conversation, the goals that the participant wishes to pursue will be added to their NDIS plan. A participant’s priorities are emphasised through their goals and it differs from person to person. Goals can be short, medium or long-term depending on the personal circumstances and individual preferences of the participants. Discussions regarding the participant’s goals will help the NDIS to gain an understanding of the expectations and aspirations of the participant.
