Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC), Jhanjeri, Mohali is one of the most beautifully designed, constructed and landscaped campuses located near Chandigarh-the city beautiful of India. It is due to this that in University Examinations of Nov. 2013, our third semester (CSE) students have bagged eight out of a total of 10 Merit List positions while first semester students have also bagged a total of eight Merit List positions. Dr. G. D. Bansal, Director General is a true academician having held various prestigious, instructional and diplomatic assignments in India. He is a Ph. D from I I T, Roorkee and an alumnus of Punjab Engg. College, Chandigarh. He possess a glorious experience of more than 40 years.

Dr. Bansal has a flair for guiding and training his faculty members and students to enable them to compete favorably with the best in the country. He encourages his faculty members and students to undertake consultancy assignments which gives the students a unique opportunity of “Earning while learning”.

Placement of students is his top priority & for this he lays special emphasis on development of students’ personality and their communication skills. For giving to his students, exposures to practical situations and current events in the country, Dr. Bansal arranges a number of National Conferences which are addressed by the top ranking dignitaries of India. Dr. Bansal has a huge nmber of publications to his credit. He has visited countries like Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand & Japan for attending world class conferences.
