Institute of Health Sciences(I.H.S), a pioneer institute in the state of Odisha, that was established in 1999 by a group of benevolent people. I.H.S is dedicated to the welfare of the disabled and development of the rehabilitation & health sciences in Odisha. It has the distinction of creating comprehensive treatment facility for those having all kinds of communication disorders. Institute of Health Sciences is the only institute in the state of Odisha providing unique Medical Degree courses of rehabilitation sciences viz. “Bachelor in Physiotherapy” (BPT), Master in Physiotherapy (MPT), “Bachelor in Audiology & Speech Language Pathology” (BASLP) and “Master in Audiology & Speech Language Pathology”(MASLP). The courses are recognized by the Government of Odisha, affiliated to Utkal University & approved by the RCI, New Delhi .

In a very short span of time, I.H.S has earned many recognition and appreciations for incredible performance, dedication towards the profession and the society.

Now I.H.S is a Recognized Training Center of Health & Family Welfare Department, Govt. of Odisha for Medical officers & Para-Medical Personnel. It is an associate of OPEPA in their Integrated Education for the Disabled(IED) program. I.H.S has impaneled itself as a referral hospital for various organizations.
