Description
The Property Insurance and Energy Reduction Act of Alabama enables a county, municipality, or improvement district to implement a plan to issue bonds, notes, or other forms of financing to fund energy efficiency upgrades or energy resilience projects for properties through assessments on the property tax bill. Air sealing, insulation, the installation of energy-efficient heating, cooling, or ventilation systems, building modifications, equipment for charging electric vehicles, lighting, or other enhancements that result in quantifiable cost savings are just a few examples of projects that qualify as energy-efficiency projects. Contractors who are registered in the State and who hold the necessary licenses or certifications shall install these qualifying measures. Visit c-pace.com to learn more about CPACE in Alabama.
