Kumbh Mela Services

The Kumbh Mela is held every 3 years, and shifts between four locations – Haridwar (river Ganga), Allahabad (Triveni Sangam of Yamuna, Ganga, and Saraswati), Nasik (river Godavari) and Ujjain (river Kshipra). The event returns to each place after a span of 12 years. The Kumbh Mela is held on the dates when the waters of Yamuna, Ganga and Saraswati and Godavari rivers are said to turn into nectar. After that, the exact dates are calculated according to a mixture of zodiac positions of Jupiter, the Moon, and the Sun. The Allahabad Kumbh Mela 2019 or also called Ardh Kumbh Mela 2019 is scheduled from the January 25 till Mar 4, at Prayag.
